What
incentives in your opinion are necessary for employee motivation in your
organization?
Recognition is one form of motivation which could include asking employees
for their opinion and making them feel that they and their opinions are
valued. They consequently become more engaged in work and feel that they
play an important role in the organization.

I believe that employees are motivated by different things according
to their values, experience, knowledge and personal as well as professional
objectives. Being motivated is a state of mind where an employee has
expectations from organizations, management and him or herself. I strongly
see that involvement; ownership, coaching, communication and reward and
recognition lie at the heart of being motivated and result-driven employee.
Recognizing that different people are motivated by different influences,
management should strive to have a balance between those influences in
order to ensure having productive but motivated employees.

1- Employees are paid their salary to do the
job they are hired to do.
2- Employees are paid a salary increase for significant contribution or
adding value.
3- Employees are paid bonus for their future abilities to advance.
4- Employees receive recognition (excellence awards, employees of the month …
etc.) when they exceed exceptional performance.
We motivate our employees through numbers 3 & 4. We also believe that the i2
business culture is another motivating factor; the i2 culture is pay for
performance & reward for achievements.

Many would immediately say monetary incentives are
necessary, while I don’t deny that monetary incentives play a role in
motivation, equally important to them are incentives that satisfy the
employees’ need to grow, develop their career and feel the impact of their
contribution to the overall success of the organization. Such incentives
include, but are not limited to, continuous opportunities for development,
objective-based rewards and career development opportunities.
